The Broken Toy
Cooper's lession on anger
One sunny afternoon, Cooper was playing with his favorite toy truck in the living room. In his excitement, he accidentally pushed it too hard, and it crashed against the wall, breaking into pieces. Cooper's face turned red with anger, and he let out a loud scream. Daddy heard the commotion and rushed in. He saw the broken toy and Cooper's angry face. Daddy knelt beside Cooper, hugged him gently, and whispered, 'It's okay to be upset, but let's try to calm down together.' Cooper, still fuming, looked at his daddy, not sure what to do next.

Daddy explained, 'Cooper, everyone feels angry sometimes. It's a normal emotion. But it's important to not let it control us.' Cooper listened as his daddy spoke about how anger can make us say or do things we might regret later. 'When I feel angry, I take deep breaths to calm down,' Daddy shared. Cooper tried taking a deep breath, and slowly, he started to feel a little better. 'See? You're already learning to manage your anger,' Daddy said, smiling.

The next morning, Cooper woke up feeling much happier. Daddy had fixed his toy truck, and it looked as good as new. 'Thank you, Daddy!' Cooper exclaimed, hugging his daddy tightly. 'Remember what we talked about yesterday?' Daddy asked. Cooper nodded. 'Yes, about not letting anger win.' They decided to spend the day outside, playing in the park and enjoying the sunshine. It was a perfect day for new beginnings.

While painting a picture, Cooper accidentally knocked over a bottle of paint, spilling it all over his artwork. He felt the anger bubbling up again. But this time, he remembered his daddy's words. Instead of yelling, he took a deep breath and counted to ten. 'Daddy, I spilled my paint, but I didn't get angry!' Cooper proudly told his daddy later. 'I'm so proud of you, Cooper. You're learning to control your anger,' Daddy replied, giving him a high five.

One afternoon, Cooper's friend Liam came over to play. Cooper wanted to play with his truck, but so did Liam. At first, Cooper felt his anger rising. He remembered his lessons, though. 'We can take turns,' Cooper suggested. Liam agreed, and they played happily together. Daddy watched from a distance, pleased to see Cooper applying his lessons on anger. 'Good job, Cooper! Sharing is caring,' Daddy said, joining in their playtime.

Cooper and Daddy were playing a board game one evening. Cooper was close to winning, but in the end, Daddy won. Cooper felt disappointed and angry. He wanted to throw the game pieces. But then he remembered how he had managed his anger before. 'It's okay, Daddy. You played really well,' Cooper said, smiling. Daddy hugged him. 'I'm so proud of you, Cooper. Winning isn't everything. It's how we play the game that matters,' Daddy explained.

Daddy decided to bake cookies with Cooper. Cooper was excited but accidentally dropped an egg on the floor. He paused, feeling the familiar stir of anger. But, instead of getting upset, he laughed. 'Oops! Let's clean it up together,' he said. Daddy smiled, 'That's the spirit, Cooper! Mistakes happen, and it's okay.' Together, they cleaned up the mess and continued baking, filling the kitchen with laughter and the sweet smell of cookies.

At bedtime, Daddy read Cooper a story about a knight who overcame challenges with patience and kindness. 'Just like you're learning to manage your anger,' Daddy said. Cooper felt happy and proud. He realized that every day he was becoming a little more like the brave knight in his story. 'Daddy, I'm glad you're teaching me these things,' Cooper whispered as he drifted off to sleep, dreaming of adventures where he faced his challenges with a calm heart.

The next day at the park, a new kid accidentally bumped into Cooper, knocking him down. Cooper felt a flash of anger but quickly calmed himself down. 'Are you okay?' he asked the new kid, offering a hand to help him up. The new kid apologized, and they ended up playing together. Daddy watched from a bench, feeling incredibly proud of Cooper. 'You're growing up to be such a kind and understanding person, Cooper,' Daddy said later, hugging him tightly.

As the days passed, Cooper continued to practice controlling his anger. He learned that it was okay to feel angry, but what mattered was how he dealt with it. Daddy was always there to remind him and guide him. Cooper felt grateful for his daddy's lessons. 'I can face anything with patience and kindness,' Cooper thought to himself. He had learned an important lesson about anger, and he was ready to face the world with a calm and happy heart.
