Santiago's New Adventure
El Salvador – The Perfect Pupusa
Once upon a time, in a small European town, there lived a curious little boy named Santiago. Santiago loved trying new things, especially when it came to food. One day, his teacher told the class about a delicious treat from El Salvador called pupusas. "What's a pupusa?" wondered Santiago. He decided he would learn how to make one all by himself.

Santiago went home and asked his mom about making pupusas. She handed him a recipe and said, "Let's make them together!" Santiago was so excited, especially as he gathered the ingredients. He learned that pupusas are made with corn dough, filled with beans, cheese, or meat. Santiago couldn't wait to start cooking.

They mixed the dough, but Santiago added too much water! The dough became sticky and hard to handle. "Oh no!" thought Santiago, worried he ruined his first attempt. His mom smiled and said, "Mistakes help us learn. Let's add more flour." Together, they fixed the dough, making it just right.

With the dough perfect, Santiago filled it with cheese and beans. They cooked the pupusas on a hot pan until they smelled delicious. Santiago took a bite and beamed with pride. "Perfect!" he exclaimed with joy. Santiago learned that cooking was fun and sometimes mistakes are just new ways to learn.
