Eve and Thanksgiving
Eve was buzzing with excitement. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday. She loved how the house smelled of delicious food. Her family had many special traditions. Eve's job was to help with the decorations. She carefully placed autumn leaves on the table. The house looked warm and inviting. She couldn't wait for everyone to arrive.

Eve's mom was in the kitchen early. She was preparing the big turkey. Eve watched as her mom stuffed it with herbs. The turkey was the centerpiece of their meal. Eve's mouth watered at the thought. She helped by peeling potatoes. It was hard work, but Eve loved helping. It made her feel grown-up.

Eve's dad was in charge of decorating the house. He hung pretty lights around the windows. Eve helped by making paper turkeys. They placed them on the mantle. The house looked magical. Eve's little brother joined in too. He loved sticking stickers everywhere. It was a team effort, and Eve felt proud.

Eve had a special job to do. She set the table with her mom's best dishes. Each plate had a small pumpkin on it. Eve folded the napkins into little fans. She placed them beside each plate. Her mom added candles for a cozy glow. The table looked beautiful. Eve knew everyone would love it.

The doorbell rang, and Eve's heart leapt. Her grandparents were the first to arrive. Eve greeted them with a big hug. Soon, more family members came. The house was filled with laughter. Eve loved hearing everyone's stories. They all gathered in the living room. It was a wonderful feeling.

Eve's family had many Thanksgiving traditions. They always started with a thankful circle. Each person shared what they were grateful for. Eve said she was thankful for her family. Her brother was thankful for pie! They sang a Thanksgiving song together. It was a joyful moment. Eve felt very happy.

Finally, it was time to eat. The table was full of delicious food. Eve's mom carved the turkey. Everyone helped themselves to the dishes. Eve loved the mashed potatoes the most. They all talked and laughed as they ate. It was a feast to remember. Eve felt warm and content.

As the day ended, Eve felt grateful. She hugged her family tightly. They promised to see each other soon. Eve helped clean up the table. She was tired but happy. Thanksgiving was everything she hoped for. Eve went to bed with a smile. She couldn't wait for next year.
