Nancy's New Friend

Hands So Clean, Germs Aren't Seen

Nancy loved to play and dream, her imagination was a gleam. One day she met a hygienist who said, "Wash your hands, keep germs away instead!" Nancy listened with eyes so bright, she wanted to keep her hands just right.
1
The hygienist showed her how to clean, making sure no germs are seen. "Wash inside and out," she said with glee, "Even between your fingers, you see!" Nancy nodded, she understood, washing hands is really good.
2
After school, Nancy ran home fast, to wash her hands, she must not last. She turned the tap and let it flow, rubbed her hands and watched them glow. She sang a song, a happy tune, "Germs, germs, see you soon!"
3
Before she ate, she washed again, her hands were clean, like new, my friend! "No germs on my food," Nancy would say, "I wash my hands every day!" She felt so proud, her hands so neat, she loved the feeling, oh so sweet.
4
After eating, Nancy knew, washing her hands was the thing to do. "Sticky fingers, go away," she'd sing, "Clean hands make my heart swing!" She washed with soap, bubbles so bright, her hands were clean, what a sight!
5
After the bathroom, without delay, Nancy washed her hands right away. "Germs, germs, you can't stay," she laughed as she washed them away. She scrubbed and rubbed with all her might, her hands were clean, feeling light.
6
Nancy made a game, she called it "Germ-Free," washing hands was the key, you see. Her friends joined in, they loved to play, washing hands kept germs at bay. They laughed and giggled, having fun, with clean hands, they all had won.
7
Now Nancy's habit was here to stay, washing her hands every day. She felt healthy, strong, and bright, her hands were clean, feeling right. Nancy knew, with hands so clean, germs would never, ever be seen.
