The Dream Begins
Lily's Light: A Ballerina's Journey to Strength
Lily loved to dance more than anything. Ever since she was little, she twirled around the living room in sparkly tutus, dreaming of becoming a famous ballerina.
1
At Miss Rosa’s Ballet School, Lily worked hard every day. She pointed her toes, leaped high, and practiced until her feet ached. She wanted to be the best.
2
One day, Lily heard someone say, “Ballerinas must always be light as a feather.” She looked at herself in the mirror and worried she wasn’t light enough.
3
She started eating less and skipping snacks. Her tummy rumbled during class, but she told herself, “Real ballerinas don’t need much food.”
4
Soon, Lily felt weak. Spinning made her dizzy, and she couldn’t jump as high. Her friends noticed, but she just smiled and said, “I’m fine!”
5
Her best friend, Mia, grew worried. “Lily, you look tired all the time. Are you okay?” Lily shrugged. “I just have to work harder.”
6
Miss Rosa noticed too. “Lily, you’re an amazing dancer, but you don’t seem happy. What’s wrong?”
7
One day, during rehearsal, Lily felt so dizzy that she fell mid-spin. Everyone gasped, and Mia ran to help her.
8
Miss Rosa sat next to her. “Lily, your body needs food to dance. Food is fuel, just like music is fuel for the soul.”
9
Lily’s eyes filled with tears. “But I thought ballerinas had to be thin to be great.”
10
Miss Rosa shook her head. “Ballerinas need to be strong, and strength comes from taking care of yourself.”

Slowly, Lily began to eat the right foods again. She felt her energy return, and her leaps grew higher. She knew that true beauty in ballet came from health, happiness, and strength, not from being light as a feather.
The End.
