A Spooky Start
Little Aspen's Happy Halloween
Little Aspen woke up one day, to find that Halloween was on its way. She felt a shiver down her spine, 'Oh no,' she thought, 'this isn't fine.' She ran to her mommy, feeling quite small, 'Mommy,' she said, 'I don't like this at all.'
1
'Don't worry, sweetie,' her mommy said with care, 'Halloween is fun, there's nothing to fear.' She hugged her tight and kissed her cheek, 'We'll find a costume that's really unique.' Aspen felt better but still a bit shy, 'Okay, Mommy,' she said with a sigh.
2
They went to the shop with costumes galore, Aspen had never seen so many before. Witches and ghosts, and pirates too, 'What should I be?' she wondered, 'Oh, what to do?' Mommy held her hand and gave her a squeeze, 'Let's find something that will put you at ease.'
3
Aspen's eyes lit up when she saw the bee, 'Mommy, look! This is perfect for me!' She tried it on and twirled around, 'I love it!' she said, feeling quite proud. Mommy chose a nurse costume, looking so neat, 'We'll be the best pair on the street!'
4
Halloween night came, and Aspen felt shy, 'Mommy, I'm still nervous,' she said with a sigh. 'It's okay,' Mommy said, 'just hold my hand tight, we'll have so much fun, it'll be a delight.' Aspen took her hand, feeling a bit braver, 'Okay, Mommy, let's have some favor.'
5
They stepped out the door, into the night, Aspen held Mommy's hand, feeling alright. The streets were filled with costumes and cheer, 'Look at all the kids, there's nothing to fear.' Aspen saw witches, fairies, and a knight, 'This is amazing!' she said with delight.
6
They went to the first house, knocked on the door, 'Trick or treat!' they said, wanting more. The door opened wide, and candy was shared, Aspen smiled big, feeling prepared. 'This is fun, Mommy, I'm not scared at all,' she said with joy, feeling quite tall.
7
A little boy in a dinosaur suit, came up to Aspen, looking quite cute. 'I like your costume,' he said with a grin, 'You're a bumble bee, you must win!' Aspen blushed and said, 'Thank you so much,' feeling happy with the friendly touch.
8
Aspen looked up at her mommy with glee, 'Mommy, I think Halloween is for me!' They went from house to house, collecting treats, Aspen's basket filled up with so many sweets. She laughed and giggled, feeling so free, 'This is the best night, don't you agree?'
9
They met a witch who gave a big smile, 'Happy Halloween!' she said with style. Aspen waved back, feeling so bright, 'Happy Halloween to you, have a good night!' The witch gave her candy, so sweet and fine, 'Thank you,' said Aspen, 'This is divine!'
10
They reached a house with pumpkins aglow, 'This looks so spooky,' Aspen said slow. But Mommy squeezed her hand, 'It's just for fun, let's go up and see, come on, little one.' Aspen took a breath and went to the door, 'Trick or treat!' she said, wanting more.
11
Her bag was getting heavy with treats, 'Mommy, look at all these sweets!' They walked down the street, feeling so grand, Aspen held tight to her mommy's hand. 'This is the best night,' she said with a cheer, 'I'm so glad I faced my Halloween fear.'
12
They met friends dressed as cats and bats, 'Look at you!' they said, 'You look so rad!' Aspen smiled and joined in the fun, 'This Halloween is number one!' They shared their candy and laughed with glee, 'This is the best night, wouldn't you agree?'
13
The night was ending, but the fun stayed, 'Mommy, this was the best,' Aspen said, unafraid. They walked back home, hand in hand, 'Next year, we'll do this again, it’ll be grand.' Aspen felt proud, happy, and bright, 'I love Halloween, it's such a delight!'
14
They got back home and took off their gear, 'Mommy, this was the best night of the year!' They sorted their candy, so much to see, 'Look at all these treats, just for me!' Aspen yawned, feeling so tired, 'Thank you, Mommy, this night was inspired.'
15
Aspen went to bed, with a smile so wide, 'I love Halloween,' she said with pride. She dreamed of costumes, candy, and cheer, 'Next Halloween, I have nothing to fear.' Mommy kissed her goodnight, with love so true, 'Sweet dreams, my Aspen, I love you too.'
