New School Day
Toby the Tiger
Toby the tiger was very excited for his first day at Hoppy Meadow School. His orange stripes gleamed in the morning sun as he packed his lunch. 'I hope I make lots of friends today,' Toby whispered to himself.
1
When Toby walked into his classroom, twenty fluffy bunnies turned to stare. Their little noses twitched nervously at the sight of him. 'Hello,' said Toby with a friendly smile, but the bunnies hopped away quickly.
2
At lunchtime, Toby sat all alone at the end of a long table. The bunnies whispered and pointed at his sharp teeth and striped fur. 'Would anyone like to share my carrots?' Toby asked hopefully, but no one came.
3
During recess, the bunnies played jump rope and hopscotch together. Toby watched from beneath a tree, feeling sad and left out. 'Maybe tigers and bunnies just can't be friends,' he thought with a heavy heart.
4
In art class, Toby drew a beautiful picture of tigers and bunnies playing together. One bunny named Lily peeked at his drawing and gasped. 'That's amazing, Toby!' she said, her floppy ears twitching with excitement.
5
The teacher announced a talent show for the following week. 'I can jump really high,' Toby told Lily shyly. 'You should show everyone!' she encouraged, her fluffy tail wiggling happily.
6
Toby practiced his jumping every day after school. Lily watched him leap over logs and bounce between trees with amazing grace. 'The other bunnies need to see this,' she decided firmly.
7
The day of the talent show arrived, and Toby felt butterflies in his tummy. The bunnies performed their hopping routines one by one. 'Next up is Toby the tiger!' announced the teacher.
8
Toby took a deep breath and began jumping higher than any bunny had ever seen. He twirled and flipped through the air with incredible skill. The bunnies watched with wide eyes and open mouths.
9
After the show, the bunnies gathered around Toby with curious questions. 'Can you teach me to jump like that?' asked one. 'I love your drawing too!' said another, ears twitching excitedly.
10
The next day at recess, Toby was invited to play hopscotch with the bunnies. They discovered he could skip, draw, and play just like them. 'You're different on the outside, but the same where it matters,' said Lily.
11
By the end of the week, Toby had friends all over Hoppy Meadow School. Tigers and bunnies, it turned out, made wonderful friends after all. 'Being different,' Toby realized, 'just makes our friendship more special.'
