TRUSTWORTHY

One sunny day, John Jr and Jade sat down to study their Bible. They read Proverbs 28:26, which says, 'Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.' Jade explained that we cannot always trust ourselves and the decisions we believe are right. Wisdom comes from God. John Jr and Jade decided to dig deeper into being trustworthy.

John Jr and Jade thought of ways to be trustworthy. John Jr said they need to be truthful, reliable, and play by the rules. Jade added that they should have the courage to do the right thing and build a good reputation. They both agreed that these were important qualities. They remembered that Jesus is trustworthy too.

Jade reminded John Jr about Jesus' words in John 14:6, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life.' This showed Jesus' faithfulness and reliability. They wanted to model Jesus by being more trustworthy. Jesus said to receive His gift of salvation by trusting Him as Savior. Then they would experience peace with God.

John Jr and Jade decided to start by always telling the truth. They knew that being honest was the first step to being trustworthy. One day, John Jr accidentally broke a vase. He felt scared but remembered to be truthful. He told the truth, and his parents appreciated his honesty.

Next, they worked on being reliable. Jade promised to help John Jr with his homework. He made sure to keep her promise and helped him every day. John Jr felt happy and knew he could count on Jade. This made their friendship even stronger.

They also decided to always play by the rules. One day, they played a game with their friends. Some friends tried to cheat, but John Jr and Jade followed the rules. Everyone had more fun because the game was fair. Their friends respected them for playing honestly.

John Jr and Jade knew they needed courage to do the right thing. One day, they saw a friend being bullied. They stood up for their friend, even though it was scary. Their bravery helped stop the bullying. They felt proud for doing the right thing.

Finally, they focused on building a good reputation. They continued to be truthful, reliable, and brave. People began to trust them more and more. John Jr and Jade felt happy knowing they were becoming trustworthy like Jesus. They thanked God for guiding them on this journey.
