Esta es la historia de Joaquina, la llaman Joaqui. Una niña dulce, divertida y muy sonriente. Ama los unicornios, los arcoíris y le encanta disfrazarse de princesa. Le encanta dibujar y pintar.
Una noche, cuando se quedó dormida Joaqui soñó que era una princesa. Que vivía en un castillo rosa. En el camino las flores eran de caramelos y había unicornios. En el cielo se veía un arcoíris.
Joaquina estaba feliz, caminaba descubriendo en el camino cosas mágicas, animales coloridos y ella con su vestido de princesa, reía feliz. Levantó del suelo una piedra violeta que parecía mágica.
De repente escuchó que le decían Joaqui, Joaqui a levantarse! Ella no entendía, si ya estaba despierta! Pero de repenté se dio cuenta era un sueño! Tenía que volver a la realidad.
Cuando se levantó le costó al principio. Pero la miró a su mamá y volvió a estar feliz. Le encantaba su vida y siempre podía seguir siendo princesa en sus sueños. Y lo extraño fue que cuando abrió la mano, tenía la piedra violeta!

3. Boy runs into the backyard of his home to look over the fence to see if the garbage trucks go by
4. The garbage truck goes by in the alley and honks and waves at the little boy

Dino and Bird played at the playground, swinging high and sliding fast. “Whee!” said Dino, “Let’s have fun!” Bird chirped, “Yes, let’s go!”
But oh no! Dino fell down, thump! He looked so sad. Bird laughed, “Ha ha! Dino fell!” Dino felt hurt and didn’t want Bird anymore.
Dino went home crying, “Bird isn’t nice! I don’t want him as a friend!” He missed playing, but felt so mad inside.
The next day, Dino saw Bird. Bird said, “I’m sorry, Dino! Please be my friend again!” Dino smiled and said, “Okay!” They played happily together!

Mother is explaining family history to her small baby son. She tells him that she grew up spending time with her grandma and grandpa Gross. She has many special memories with them. Grandma Gross, Darlene, grew up in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. She had 2 sisters, she liked to roller skate, she liked to write, and  . Her Grandpa Gross, James, grew up in Lastrup, Minnesota. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters, he helped out at his father's grocery store, could fix just about anything, and joined the Navy. Darlene and Jim met at the Falls Ballroom and fell in love. They married September 1st, 1956 and went on to have 4 daughters. As a family, Grandma and Grandpa and the 4 girls traveled, went camping, visited grandparents, and had family dinners together. Eventually the 4 daughters grew up and had their own kids and mama was born. Mama spent time with her grandparents at their Camper at Camp Holiday, and had Christmas, holidays, and birthday celebrations with the entire family. Grandma and mama were very close. Mama has the wedding ring that grandpa presented to grandma all those years ago in 1956. Grandma and Grandpa are buried at Fort Snelling.

Once upon a time, there was a little bird on a farm. His feathers were messy, and he felt sad because he looked different from the other birds. The little bird watched the other birds playing and having fun every day. He wished he could join them, but he felt too shy and unsure of himself. One sunny day, the farmer's daughters came to the farm. ALEENA AND MALIA saw the little bird sitting alone and looking sad. The girls smiled kindly and said, "You may look different, but you are special in your way." The little bird felt a glimmer of hope. He decided to try joining the other birds in their games. At first, the other birds laughed and teased him. But the little bird didn't give up. He kept trying, and soon he found his confidence. With each day that passed, the little bird grew stronger and happier. He realized that it didn't matter what he looked like on the outside. What mattered most was the courage and kindness he had inside. And so, the once sad little bird became known as the brave little bird, inspiring others to believe in themselves just as he had. 1.  John Jr and Jade was learning about Jesus' teachings about honesty.   Jesus wants us to be  honest in our speech and keep our promises.  In 1 John 3:18 Jesus says 
 "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."  Jade told John Jr that they need to be truthful in their words and actions even when it is hard.  They decided they would Be more honest.
2. John Jr and Jade thought of times they were not honest.  John Jr told about a time he lied to his mom about getting in cookie jar before dinner.  John Jr ate 3 cookies before.  His mom knew he wasn't truthful since he had no appetite for his dinner.
3. Jade told about about a time he blamed someone else for something he had done.  Jade picked his neighbors flowers and blamed it on his friend Vixen to his neighbor.
4.  John Jr told Jade about the two commandments that says not to steal or not to lie.  John Jr decided they would practice being more trustworthy by being  straightforward, and not lying, cheating, or stealing.  Jade share Bible verse  Proverbs 12:22 "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy."  Jesus taught people that the truth will set them free from slavery to sin, self-rule, and self-justification.  John Jr and Jade decided that it was very important to be truthful with God.  Jesus felt honesty was a gift and loved to be around plainspoken and honest people.  John Jr and Jade want to follow Jesus because he is the truth and speaks of the truth and love.

HONESTY
