There was a frog named Sammy. Sammy was a happy frog, he loved to splash in his little pond and swim around. His friend, Flipp the Duck, was his best friend. They lived together in their little pond. Sammy hopped around and Flipp paddled through the water. They played hard all day splashing around and then slept on the sandy bank. One day Sammy brought up the fact that they hadn’t gotten rain for a while. Flipp agreed but they shrugged it off and continued to play. They continued to think to themselves that it would rain but after a week they still hadn’t gotten rain. Their pond began to dry up. One day Sammy and Flipp woke up and when they walked down to their pond excited to play, they were met with a dry hole. What was once their pond was now a giant muddy hole. Sammy couldn’t believe it “what are we going to do without a pond?” he muttered. Flipp began to say, “maybe it will rain and then it will fill back up”. Sammy agreed and he and Flipp sat in their muddy hole waiting for even the slightest drop of rain. Days passed without any rain the days were filled with boredom, Sammy began to ask, “will it ever rain?” Flipp responded “it will one day we just have to be patient”. One day while Flipp was curled up and Sammy was staring at the sky, Sammy felt a small drop on his forehead. “Flipp get up I felt a drop!” he screamed, Flipp perked up and looked at the sky more drops began to fall. They both stood up and started leaping with joy as it began to rain harder and harder. They watched as their pond slowly filled back up Sammy yelled “cannon ball!” and jumped in, Flipp watched and couldn’t wait any longer and then he splashed into their pond. They both splashed each other as the rain began to fall even harder. Every day they would play in their pond, and it continued to rain every day for them and they never had to worry about a dry pond again.

Sol stood tall. “I’m solid because my particles stay close together,” he said. “I keep my shape, like rocks and ice.”

Liq twirled. “I flow because my particles can move a bit, like water or juice!”

Gas floated in. “I’m free to spread out! My particles zoom around, like air or steam.”

Mia was amazed. “Can you change?”

Gas puffed up. “We can! Watch!” He cooled down, turning into rain, then Liq turned into ice as the air got colder.

“We’re all matter, just in different forms,” they said.

Mia smiled. “Thanks! Now I understand matter!”

Once upon a time, in a bustling little town, there lived a boy named Max who had a pet unlike any other. His pet wasn’t a dog, a cat, or even a bird. Max had a pet turtle named Turbo!

Turbo was no ordinary turtle. He loved to zoom around on his skateboard, which Max had specially made for him. Every morning, Max and Turbo would race through the park. Turbo would kick off with his little legs, and whoosh, he’d glide across the pavement, his shell gleaming in the sunlight. Max would chase after him on his scooter, laughing as Turbo always took the lead.

One day, they decided to explore a new path in the park. It was lined with trees and had a mysterious tunnel at the end. Max and Turbo, being the adventurous duo they were, didn’t hesitate for a second. They sped down the path and zoomed into the tunnel.

Inside the tunnel, they found themselves in a magical world where animals could talk, and the trees whispered secrets to each other. Turbo, excited to chat, made friends with a wise old owl named Oliver, who challenged him to a race around the enchanted lake.

The race began, and all the animals gathered to watch. Max cheered loudly for Turbo. Around and around they went, Turbo on his skateboard and Oliver swooping through the air. It was a close race, but in the end, Turbo’s speed on wheels won the day!

The animals celebrated Turbo and Max with a grand feast, where they shared stories and laughed until the stars came out. When it was time to go home, Oliver gave Max a special acorn as a souvenir, which he promised would bring them back to the magical world whenever they wished.

Max and Turbo returned to their town, but they never forgot their adventure. From that day on, Turbo’s skateboard races became even faster, and Max’s smile even brighter, knowing they had a magical friend just a tunnel away.

And every now and then, they’d sneak back to the park, hoping to find the tunnel and visit their enchanted friends once again.

1.  John Jr and Nazut liked to play camping with the sheets at bedtime.  They wondered what real camping was truly like.
2.  John Jr and Nazut asked John Jr's family about going on a camping trip as a family.  John Jr's  parents thought it sounded great and started planning for a camping trip.
3.  John Jr and Nazut loved shopping with Mom to picking up supplies at the store.  They got a cabin tent, sleeping pads and bags, cooking gear and food.  Everyone packed up clothes.
4. The day arrived for their trip to Yosemite National Park.  All the camping gear was carefully packed.
5.  They set up their tent at Yosemite.  They planned out their explorations. They visited Stunning waterfalls and Joh Jr and Nazut splashed each other with water.
6. They explored deep valleys, and saw  diverse wildlife, and John Jr especially loved the iconic cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome.
