As Mom zipped up the back, Janice looked at her reflection in the mirror. Everything was perfect except for how her hair looked. It still looked like a boy's. Mom sensed Janice's concern and led her into the master bedroom. She had Janice sit at her vanity, facing away from the mirror. Mom then applied a little foundation and powder to Janice's face and some pink lipstick to Janice's lips, saying that a girl of twelve doesn't need to use much makeup. She then went to her closet and removed a box. When she opened it, Janice saw that it contained a nicely styled wig. Additionally, the color matched her hair exactly. They told her how nice she looked as Janice smiled broadly. The girls spent the rest of the evening in he family room, welcoming their new sister and showing her how to do things like a girl. Janice changed into a pink waltz-length nightgown. Megan showed her how to remove her makeup and properly cleanse her face. Mom insisted that they needed to get some sleep and that they had the entire week to get know with their new sister. For Janice, sleep came easily, despite her excitement and newfound identity. She dreamed of being Mom's Christmas elf and wearing a green satin dress just like her sisters. She awoke the next morning happy and eager to face the day. The week went by quickly for the girls. Megan was Janice's primary teacher during the week but Lindsay and Kerry also helped. Janice was enjoying new persona, her sisters were enjoying having her with them. Before anyone realized it, it was Christmas Eve. Mom laid out Kerrie's and Lindsay's dresses, shoes, stockings and underwear for the next morning. Megan laid out her things without Mom's help. In the last place she sees all the different colours and learns about how to handle feelings. In each place there is an animal or a tree/flower that talks to Anna. In the picture about fear she holds her moters hand walking in a forrest on a path. The mother has long blond hair like AnnaThey are seen from the back. The colour is green.

Once upon a time, in a peaceful forest, there was a little tree named Sapling. Sapling was just beginning to grow and wanted to be the best tree in the whole forest. But there was something Sapling didn’t know—how to grow strong and healthy. One bright morning, the wise old Oak Tree shared a secret with Sapling. "You must always grow near good water, and follow the right path," Oak said. "Let me tell you a story." The Story of the Good Tree Oak began: "There are two kinds of trees in this forest. One tree, who grows by the dry, dusty path, never seems to bloom. The wind blows its leaves away, and its branches stay thin. It follows the wrong path, always listening to the wind that makes it sway in all directions." Sapling listened closely. "But," Oak continued, "there is another tree, who grows by the river. The river keeps it watered, and the sun shines on it all day. This tree has deep roots, strong branches, and it grows full of bright, healthy leaves." Sapling asked, "How does the river help it grow?" "The river," said Oak, "is like the Word of God. It gives the tree everything it needs to stay strong and bear fruit, even in difficult times. The tree by the river listens carefully and keeps its roots deep in the good soil." The Lesson Oak looked at Sapling and smiled. "If you follow the right path, listen to good advice, and stay close to the river of wisdom, you too will grow strong. But if you wander and follow the wrong ways, you might not grow as tall or strong as you want." Sapling thought for a moment and decided to listen to Oak. The little tree grew near the river and listened to the wise words of the forest. Over time, it grew strong, healthy, and full of leaves. Moral of the Story: Just like Sapling, if you follow good advice and stay close to what is right, you will grow strong and healthy. Avoid the bad paths and listen to wise words. Stay rooted in goodness, and you will always bear good fruit.
