As time went by, the bird began to help the baker. It flew to the market to spread the word about the fresh bread, bringing in more customers. Some days, he felt okay. But he learned that it was alright to feel both. At school, he told Mia about his grandma, and she listened. At home, he made a memory box with his mum, filling it with lavender sachets, old photographs, and little notes. And every night, when George looked up at the sky, he remembered that the people we love never really leave us—they just whisper from the stars.

One day, a rabbit named Cici got bored of eating the wild spinach around her yard. The spinach looked unattractive, even though her mother often gave the plants fertilizer. Cici walked restlessly, she kept looking for delicious food whether it was vegetables or fruit around the forest, but she never found it. Finally she came to a carrot field that she thought was unguarded by humans. She broke through and enjoyed the carrots which turned out to taste very sweet and fresh. “Ciciii, enough and come back here!” Kiki and Lulu approached Cici from outside the fence, and forbade her from continuing to eat the carrots. Cici didn't care and ran away, but she was caught in a trap net that was indeed in the field. Lulu and Kiki finally helped Cici untie the net, finally Cici was free from the trap and ran with Lulu and Kiki away from the field.

Katie sat down beside her and helped Sarah with the math problems. They worked quietly for a few minutes, and slowly, Sarah began to smile. “Oh, I get it now,” Sarah said, her face lighting up. “Thanks, Katie. I didn’t know how to do this before." Sarah hugged Katie tightly. Katie felt proud of herself. It was hard to help someone who had been mean, but she felt like she had made the right choice. Even though Sarah wasn’t always kind to her, Katie knew she could still be the bigger person. As the bell rang and Katie stood up to go to class, Sarah said, “Hey, um, sorry about the stuff I said before. I wasn’t very nice.” Katie smiled and nodded. “It’s okay,” she said. She didn’t expect Sarah to change overnight, but at least she knew she had done something good.
