1. John Jr read Genesis 2:8-9 which says "Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. The LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." 2. John Jr wanted to explore the tree of Life and tree of knowledge a bit deeper for better understanding. He learned that God wants wants you to grow into a strong tree, nourished by the light of His word. God promised those who follow and trust his way will flourish and prosper. 2. Jesus is the water of life that will nourish and gives us light for all us to grow into a strong person. John Jr decided to delight in the ways of God and to not let Satan decieve him. John Jr started to read more about being a good follower of Jesus. John Jr wanted to bear good fruit and started practicing love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, and faith in his everyday life. John learned wisdom was tree of life and the righteous was its fruit. 3. John Jr learned that the tree of knowledge of bad and evil tries to divide human action into Right or Wrong, Good or Evil and Lawful or Unlawful with privileges and punishments for each case. John Jr learned that the tree of knowledge is where sin came from. John Jr decided that he was going to obey God's ways better. He decided to not tell lies anymore and to be kind to his neighbor by not picking their flowers and just try to be more righteous. 4. So God wants us to plant vegetables in our garden that will draw us closer to him. John Jr started planting peas, lettuce, squash, turnips and thyme.

Lilly the ladybug is a real adventurous ladybug. The story begins by her telling her mom Rose an other ladybug. That she would like to meet new friends. Her mother says ok you can go to the woods and discover new friends but remember to come home before sunset. Lilly tells her mom ok. See you later mom I’ll be back soon. While walking in the woods she first encounters an ant they both say hello and Lilly says what type of inset are you ? You don’t look like a ladybug. Than the ant laugh and says I’m an ant silly. Lilly laughs and says that’s so cool. What do you do? Than the ant tells her everything an ant does for her everything an ant does. Lilly than asks her do you know what location I should head to meet other ladybugs as myself ? The ant sure just go left. So Lilly walk and walks some more sunset came than night time. Lily than notices she is lost so she finds a rock and lays her head to sleep. When she wakes up she cries calling mommy. Lilly was nervous and sad at the same time. She went to talk to the caterpillar, spider, snake, elephant and tiger. They all said left, right, back, front. “ But ladybug decided to go back, she saw her house and she saw her mom rose. Then Lilly was so happy to see her mom she starts telling her mom that although she did not see other ladybugs she discover new friends other cool insects and animals.

My name is Aqma, and I don’t think my name is cool. Why did I have to be named Aqma? Wouldn’t Leo or Max sound much better? Today is my first day of school, and I’m so nervous. What if my classmates laugh when I introduce myself? Just like the kids in my neighborhood who teased me. Mom always said, “They only teased you because they liked you.” I wasn’t so sure. They said my name sounded strange and made up silly rhymes. I chased them until they ran away, laughing. Ever since then, I wished for a cooler name. “Aqma, let’s go! It’s time for school,” Mom called. I sighed and followed her. On the way, I thought hard. Maybe I could mumble my name, or pretend I forgot it when it’s my turn. When we arrived, Mom gave me a hug and said, “You’ll do great, Aqma. Your name is perfect, just like you.” As I walked into class, lost in thought, BUMP! I ran into a girl with curly hair. “Oops! Sorry!” I said quickly. “No, it’s okay! Hey, what’s your name?” she asked, smiling. “Oh no, this is it,” I thought. “I’m Aq... Aqma,” I mumbled. “Aqma? That’s so cool!” she said brightly. “I’m Rina.” “Wait, you think Aqma is cool?” I blinked, surprised. “Of course! Aqma sounds unique and strong,” Rina replied. “We should be friends!” Before I knew it, other kids gathered around. “Aqma is a great name!” one said. I couldn’t stop smiling. I never thought anyone would like my name, let alone think it was cool. By the end of the day, I felt proud. Mom was right all along. My name is Aqma, and I think it’s VERY cool!

Even though her adventure is over, she will always remember the fun she had and the things she learned.

Mina is a half Korean and Half Vietnamese girl who is learning about the Vu Lan Festival that is celebrated on June 15th. She sees her parents setting up an altar and preparing food and learns to make a sweet rice cake with her mother. She is told that the festival is meant to honor parents and ancestors with offerings made at home and at the Vietnamese temple. Her family visits a temple and prays. Afterwards, they light and hang a paper lantern on a tree. The next day the family packs up old clothes and toys to give to their local Vietnamese charity. Mina is happy to remember her ancestors and help others, looking forward to doing it again next year
