deux petites filles s'enfoncent dans la foret, envoyée par leur mere pour aller cueillir des fraises pour la tarte qu'elle est en train de préparer. elle finissent par voir une vieille petite cabane avec de la fumée qui sort par la cheminée. la plus grande dahlia veut passer son chemin, la plus petite mya tres téméraire, veut absolument voir s'il y a quelqu'un dedans. elles se chamaillent à ce sujet quand tout a coup la porte s'ouvre dans un grincement. mais tjrs personne. il fait noir a l'intérieur. mais mya veut entrer et dahlia non. mya court et entre, dahlia a peur pour elle et la suit. a l'intérieur, une vieille dame au nez crochu et au chapeau de sorcière est en train de faire bouillir de l'eau sur la marmite sur le feu. elle dit bonjour aux filles et demandes si elles sont perdues, et si elles ont faim. dahlia dit non et non, mya dit oui et oui, au grand désespoir de dahlia. la sorcière sourit et dit que ca tombe bien, qu'elle prépare une bonne soupe. 10 fois, elle demande alors aux filles si elles aiment tel ou tel ingrédient. lorsque elle commence sa phrase on dirait qu'elle parle d'un ingrédient délicieux, et Mya crie OUI j'adore ! et Dahlia dit non. par exemple la sorcière demande si elles aiment le caramel MOU .... (ici mya dit OUI Dahlia dit NON) puis la sorcière termine : CHES grillées ! (= mouches grillées). pareil avec les "vers gluants" et 8 autres du meme genre. a la fin, la sorcière verse un grand bol de soupe et demande laquelle en veut. sans attendre de réponse elle se dirige vers mya car elle est persuadé qu'elle va dire OUI. Mais non mya dit NON, finalement je n'aime pas les mouches grillées, ni les vers gluants, ni les .... (tous les 10). et puis surtout, NON je mangerais jamais quelque chose que me donne un inconnu, encore moins une sorcière dans les bois. et les filles s'enfuient en riant.

Fran and Jim go to the beach. Fran’s parents and Jim’s parents are there. Fran, Jim and both of their parents are from the Turks and Caicos Islands. Fran takes off her slippers and feels the sand between her toes. Jim runs towards the sea; he couldn’t wait to get into the water. Before reaching the water, Jim pauses, looks around and shouts to Fran to go into the water with him. Fran starts to run towards Jim then stops before reaching the water. Jims asks “what’s wrong? Don’t you want to go swimming with me?”. Fran looked a little sad and said “I want to go swimming but I don’t know how. I am afraid.” Jim tells Fran, “don’t be afraid, I have something that can help you to learn how to swim. Come with me.” Jim then runs towards his parents and shouts to his mother, “mommy, can you please give me the arm floats?”. Jim’s mother took out the arm floats from her beach bag, and gave them to Jim. Jim gave one to Fran and said “here, blow that float up and I will blow this one up”. Fran and Jim each blew up one arm float. Then Jim said “Now slide these up your arms. I will help you. They will help you to float in the water.” After the floats were on her little upper arms, she held out her arms and started to walk towards the water with Jim. Jim went into the water up to his knees first. Jim then turned and reached out his hand to Fran and said “come in the water with me”. Fran held his hand and walked into the water with him. As Fran went further into the water, she then exclaimed to Jim “I can’t feel the bottom with my feet anymore!”. Jim then laughed and said, “that’s because you are floating”. Then Fran realized that the arm floats were helping her to float. She then laughed and shouted to her parents saying “Mommy, Daddy, I am floating!”. Her parents waved to her smiling and Jim’s parents were also smiling. Fran and Jim then had fun laughing and playing in the water together, while both of their parents looked on, smiling. Fran and Jim had the best beach day ever.

Un día después de comer se quedó dormido, y soñó que era adulto. Soñó que manejaba un colectivo, después que era astronauta y viajaba a la luna. También soñó que iba sólo al supermercado a comprar la comida y pagaba con su plata. Se sentía grande y feliz. De repente se despertó, se dio cuenta que todo era un sueño. Mimo trudności i niedowiarków, dotarli na szczyt, stając się pierwszą żyrafą, która to osiągnęła. Ich sukces pokazał, że warto walczyć o marzenia, nawet gdy wydają się niemożliwe. Powrócili do wioski jako bohaterowie, dowodząc, że granice są tylko w umyśle. Babcia, z dumą ich uściskując, zrozumiała, że warto wspierać marzenia innych. Cała wioska zaczęła dostrzegać, że warto się starać, nawet gdy inni się śmieją. Wyprawa Żyrafa i Żabolka zmieniła spojrzenie wszystkich na świat, pokazując, że nawet najbardziej niemożliwe cele można osiągnąć, gdy ma się odwagę i determinację.
