Tuwing Pebrero, ipinagdiriwang ang pista ng mga bulaklak sa Lungsod ng Baguio. Kilala rin ito sa tawag na Pista ng Panagbenga. Ang Panagbenga ay salitang galing sa Cordillera na ang kahulugan ay panahon ng pagbukadkad ng bulaklak. Binibigyang halaga sa pistang ito ang naggagandahang bulaklak kung saan kilala ang lungsod na ito. Nagsimula ang pagdiriwang ng Panagbenga noong 1995. Isinagawa ng pistang ito para maiangat muli ang Lungsod ng Baguio mula sa malagim na lindol noong 1990. Maraming gawain ang makikita sa pagdiriwang ng Panagbenga. Ang pinakasikat at inaabangang gawain tuwing pista ng bulaklak ay ang parada. Kasama sa paradang ito ay sayawan sa kalsada at pagtugtog ng mga banda. Pinakabida sa paradang ito ang mga higanteng karosa na puno ng mga magaganda at mababangong bulaklak. Sa paggawa ng karosang ito, ipinakikita ng mga Pilipino ang kanilang pagiging malikhain at pagiging matulungin. Ipinaparada ang mga ito sa malalaking kalsada ng lungsod. Maraming mga taong galing pa sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Pilipinas ang dumadayo sa Baguio upang mapanood ito.

Every year, she went to the temple to pray. Page 2 One day, with tears in her eyes, Hannah prayed, “Lord, if You give me a son, I will give him back to You to serve You all his life.” Page 3 The priest, Eli, saw Hannah praying and said, “May God grant your request.” Hannah believed in God’s promise and left the temple full of hope. Page 4 God answered Hannah’s prayer! She gave birth to a baby boy and named him Samuel, which means “God has heard.” She loved him dearly. Page 5 When Samuel was old enough, Hannah kept her promise. Go back to sleep.” Page 7 The voice called again, and again Samuel ran to Eli. But Eli realized it was God speaking to Samuel! He told Samuel, “Say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” Page 8 Samuel listened, and God spoke to him. From that night on, Samuel became a great prophet, guiding Israel and teaching them to follow God. Page 9 Hannah’s faith and promise led to Samuel becoming one of the greatest leaders of Israel. On a sunny day Aqma, an ordinary boy, happily strolled around the village humming happily. “It is really a shooting day, I am so happy to be able to walk and breathe this air.” Aqma continued to walk happily while mumbling his favorite song. In the middle of his fun walk Aqma met an old lady who was having a struggle calling her cat who was up in a tree. “Koko, come down don’t stay up there, it is time for you to eat, c’mon Koko!” The old lady called out her cat while holding her waist. “Let me help you, Grandma!” Aqma offered, quickly climbing the tree. “Here’s your cat!” he said, handing Koko back to her. “Thank you so much gentleman! Here are some buns for you to eat.” Aqma took the buns with a smile and said thank you then continued on his way. In the middle of continuing his walk, Aqma met a man who was struggling to carry a lot of luggage. “Hi, sir! Let me help you carry your stuff.” Aqma immediately helped carry the man's luggage. The man smiled as Aqma helped him carry his belongings home. With Aqma’s help, the man reached home. “Thank you, kid. Come rest and have a glass of water,” the man said. Aqma rested for a while and enjoyed the man’s hospitality. Arriving home to his surprise, Aqma’s house was swarming with people trying to put out the fire. Aqma was confused and shocked at the same time, he just remembered that when he was walking earlier he forgot to turn off the stove and now he had no place to stay. He just stood there looking at his house that was slowly disappearing. Aqma sat limply lamenting his fate, the only thing he could save was his body. From a distance, the people looked at his loneliness until without Aqma realizing it, the old lady and the man he helped earlier approached him “You can stay at my house, child,” the old lady said.“My home is always open if you’re hungry,” the man added. From that day on, Aqma remained grateful for the kindness of others and vowed to keep helping people every day.
