2nd Grade Version To understand why the American Revolution happened, we need to look back at the years from 1754 to 1763. During this time, the British and the French were fighting in a war on land that is now part of the United States. This war is called the French and Indian War. The British wanted to control more land, and the French wanted to keep their land. Many Native Americans chose to help either the British or the French during this war. In 1759, British soldiers went to a city called Québec in Canada and won a big battle there. They took over another city called Montréal the next year. After that, there weren't many big battles left between the British and the French in North America. The fighting mostly stopped by 1763 when a peace agreement called the Treaty of Paris was signed. Why did the British start taxing the colonists, and why did this make them mad? The British government made laws and taxes that affected the colonists. Many colonists felt proud to be British, but they believed they had rights that the king should protect. They didn't like the Stamp Act, which was a new tax. In Virginia, some leaders, called the House of Burgesses, said that the British Parliament shouldn’t be taxing them. In 1765, the prime minister of Britain was George Grenville. He created the Stamp Act because he needed money to pay for British soldiers in North America. He thought the colonists should help pay for these soldiers who were protecting them. At first, the British leaders were surprised by how upset the colonists were. Grenville did not listen to their complaints and was eventually replaced in 1766. A leader named George Washington fought in the French and Indian War along with the British. He helped lead soldiers against the French. He became a well-known leader and was even elected to help make laws in Virginia.

Imagine it stretching out into the stars. A ray, however, starts at one point and only goes one way.” Misha’s eyes widened, the pieces slowly fitting together. “And a line segment?” “Ah, that’s the part that doesn’t go anywhere—it has two endpoints. Think of it like a bridge.” “Can we build one?” Misha asked, a spark of adventure lighting up her face. “Like in math class?” “Absolutely!” Teacher Leth chuckled, her eyes twinkling. “Let’s explore these concepts together!” As the bell rang, Misha felt a rush of excitement. Today, math wouldn’t just be numbers—it would be an adventure.

Sky travels through an enchanted forest to help her friends understand their emotions

In a village where peace and comfort always reigned, something suddenly went wrong. During the night, household items began to disappear: buckets, rags, even small tools. The villagers grew anxious and quickly decided that one of the forest predators must be to blame. But our main characters, who shared the same yard, decided to take matters into their own paws, wings, and little claws to solve the mystery themselves.

The horse was strong and fast, with a mane that shone like gold. The armor was shiny and powerful, reflecting the sunlight. David put on the armor, mounted the horse, and felt ready to face any challenge. Chapter 4: The Battle Begins David rode out to meet Misra Melik’s army. He could hear the clashing of swords and the shouts of soldiers. With a loud battle cry, David charged into the fray, his sword gleaming in the sunlight. Chapter 5: The Duel David challenged Misra Melik to a one-on-one fight. Misra Melik accepted, thinking he could easily defeat David. But David was quick and smart. He dodged Misra Melik’s attacks and struck back with precision. The clash of their swords echoed across the battlefield. Chapter 6: Victory After a fierce battle, David defeated Misra Melik. The enemy army was scared and ran away. David returned to Sassoun as a hero, and the people celebrated his victory with songs and dances. They were safe once again, thanks to David’s courage and strength.

Samuel is amazed—his small gift, given with faith, helped Jesus perform a great miracle. He returns home filled with joy, knowing that even the smallest offering can be used for something extraordinary.
