Aubree is a 4 year old girl from Oceanside, California. She lives with her mommy, daddy, and maltipoo dog named Paddington. Christmas is Aubree’s favorite time of year and she always eagerly awaits the return of her elves on “Sleigh Day,” her family’s special holiday each year on the day after Thanksgiving. Aubree’s elves are named Chippy, Snowflake, Kitty Minnie Sparkle Heart Minnie, and Stripey Blue Eyes. They return to Aubree’s house from the North Pole on the morning of Sleigh Day, arriving in a giant red and gold sleigh, pulled by a giant toy reindeer Sven (the reindeer from Frozen). Aubree’s elves always bring her some gifts on Sleigh Day, usually some Christmas books, cozy pajamas, and a few Christmas themed toys to play with throughout the season. Each night throughout the Christmas season, Aubree’s elves fly back to the North Pole, then return to her home by the morning, always hiding in a different spot. Aubree’s elves are very mischievous and she loves searching for them every morning. Each Sunday throughout the season, her elves leave her a special card or letter along with a fun gift or activity to do with her family, like tickets to see The Nutcracker or to go to Legoland. Aubree’s family loves these special days and calls them “Elf Sundays.” Aubree’s elves stay at her home longer than other children’s elves because they know she loves Christmas so much! They stay until she goes back to school, and then they fly back to the North Pole until they return on Sleigh Day the following year. When they leave, the elves always give her a special parting gift with a card, to make sure she always has special memories of that Christmas season.

A girl flies in a hot air balloon with a basket, a hurricane brings her to a wild island in the middle of the ocean, she lands and her flying machine breaks. On the island she meets many animals who help her fix her machine. She helps the animals deal with their worst enemy, the wolf, and saves the island. In the end, she flies home on the fixed balloon and promises to return.

Page 6: As Christmas neared, the store shined with lights. “Let’s make it special!” Ish cheered. People came, smiling, hugging, thankful. Page 7: On Christmas Eve, the store filled with laughter. “Best Christmas ever,” Osh said. DH chuckled. “Better than presents?” Ish grinned. “Giving is better!” Page 8: After the holidays, DH had an idea. “How ‘bout the rodeo?” Osh gasped. “Barrel racing!” Ish clapped. “Cowboys!” Page 9: At the rodeo, they met Mae. “Your outfits are so pretty!” Ish said. Mae beamed. “I sew them myself.” “Teach us?” Osh asked. Page 10: Mae showed them how to sew. “Snip, stitch, tada!” she said. Osh made a bag. Ish decorated a dress. Page 11: As the sun set, DH hugged XH. “We’re a family again,” he said. XH smiled. “And we have a town full of friends.” Page 12: The store stayed open, always giving. Osh, Ish, XH, and DH learned— Family, like love, only grows when shared.

Chase the chameleon was a happy chameleon but he always knew he was different from his friends, he was green. Chase was unable to change to different colours just like his other friends could. Chase tried to sit on red tomato and he couldn’t change colour, matter how hard he tried. His friends laughed at him and they didn’t want play with because Chase was different. Chase was very sad and went to talk to his grandfather, who was old and wise. Chase’s grandfather said “ stop trying so hard to fit in, just keep being yourself”. Chase went over to the river and stood on a log and looked at his reflection. Slowly Chase saw his skin change from green to brown, he scurried quickly to see his grandfather. On the way he passed his friends and they saw his changing color as he ran by. Chase called out “ grandfather, I changed colour”. Chase was so excited and his friends came to ask him to come and play.

He tries to find a way to help his friend reach the mailbox. His wheelchair is to big to help lift her up to the mailbox. Damien Dog has been blind for all his life. He is a close friend of Sally's . He has great ideas, but feels unhelpful because he is blind. He is the strongest one of the friends. Timmy the Turtle has Autism. He acts very strange and knows it. He is the smartest of the friends. He can come up with a plan to get Sally to her mail, but he does not have the strength to lift heavy objects. He has been teased all his life, but feels comfortable with his friends. He comes up with a plan to build a ramp so Sally can get her mail.
