One day Bean Girl asked Corn Girl, “What if I feed you some good food, and you can hold me up so I don’t have to lie on the ground?” Then little Squash Girl called up to her tall sister, “What if I lie on your feet and shade them so you won’t get sunburned?” So the Three Sisters learned to work together, so that everyone would be healthier and happier. Corn Girl helped Bean Girl stand up. Bean Girl fed Corn Girl and Squash Girl good food. And Squash Girl shaded Corn Girl’s feet and kept the weeds from growing up around them.

But only the kind and brave may enter." Arlo guided them deeper into the forest, where they faced small challenges. At one point, Lina solved a puzzle carved on a rock that unlocked a hidden gate. Another time, she helped a trapped bird untangle its wing from a vine, earning the gratitude of the forest creatures. Finally, they reached a clearing where a giant tree stood, its leaves glowing like fireflies. At the base of the tree was a pool of crystal-clear water. "This is the heart of the forest," Arlo said. "It grants wisdom and strength to those who respect its magic." Lina touched the water, and it shimmered. She didn’t make a wish but instead thanked the forest for its beauty and adventure. The tree glowed brighter, as if acknowledging her gratitude. As the sun began to set, Arlo led them back to the forest edge. "Remember, the magic of the forest lives in your kindness and courage," he said before disappearing into the shadows. Lina and her parents returned to their campsite, feeling inspired and closer than ever. "I’ll help you," she said, trying not to sound too grumpy. Sarah looked surprised but didn't argue. "Thank you so much, Katie." She said with teary eyes. Katie sat down beside her and helped Sarah with the math problems. They worked quietly for a few minutes, and slowly, Sarah began to smile. “Oh, I get it now,” Sarah said, her face lighting up. “Thanks, Katie. I didn’t know how to do this before." Sarah hugged Katie tightly. Katie felt proud of herself. It was hard to help someone who had been mean, but she felt like she had made the right choice. Even though Sarah wasn’t always kind to her, Katie knew she could still be the bigger person. As the bell rang and Katie stood up to go to class, Sarah said, “Hey, um, sorry about the stuff I said before. I wasn’t very nice.” Katie smiled and nodded. “It’s okay,” she said. She didn’t expect Sarah to change overnight, but at least she knew she had done something good.
